Vagus Nerve stress & anxiety
Release Vagus Nerve introduction
In 7 lessons I guide you learnings all about your vagus nerve, how to destress and regulate your body and emotions for optimal well-being. You're about to experience the relief of entering into whole body balance, to block the bloat and fatigue that often is a result of hormonal imbalance and a low-functioning vagus nerve.
When we discuss stress management, we are too often discussing managing our stressors, the things that we feel create stress. The truth of the matter is that stressors will always exist in our life and it is our inability to process stress effectively that wreaks havoc in our lives.
This is best described as our window of tolerance. Dr. Dan Siegel initially developed the window of tolerance to describe the optimal zone of arousel for a person for function in everyday life. The window is the range of nervous system arousal you can tolerate without becoming overwhelmed and either hyper or hypo-aroused.
As someone who felt like her window was sealed shut, I know firsthand how to increase y our window of tolerance and build resiliency in your nerve system. Stressors, both good (like healing work and working out) and bad (like arguments or tension) can still occur when you're able to respond instead of simply reacting.
In this course, you wil develop a set of tools that you can use in your everyday life. As a trauma-informed yoga therapist with specialities in applied polyvagal theory and integrative somatic experiencing therapy, I was able to use that knowledge as well as pull from traditional social work and complementary therapies to bring to you all the basics you need to access the healing power of your vagus nerve.
With this course, you will be able to open your window of tolerance to effectively manage stress, regulate your emotions, decrease chronic pain, and begin living with intention and mindfullness.
In this course you will learn different technique that you can use for a lifetime, including:
- Vagus nerve - awakening massages
- Slow flow and restorative yoga for belly bloat
- Strength- and cardiobased Yoga Shred (r) workout
- Breathing techniques
Each day, you'll get new knowlegde about your nerve system, a tool to stimulate your vagus nerve, and homework to reflect upon and shift your perspective.
Thank you for allowing me to play a small role on your healing journey.
